KICK…

OUR SAFEGUARDING POLICY

KICK is fully committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of every child and young person we work with across all settings. Our core values guide everything we do, placing young people at the heart of our work and upholding the highest professional standards throughout the organisation.

As a charity with a Christian ethos, we believe in the God-given value and dignity of every young person we encounter. Reflecting this belief, we are committed to treating each individual with care, respect and compassion, and to creating environments where young people feel safe, supported and valued. We are dedicated to ensuring that no young person experiences neglect or physical, sexual, emotional or spiritual harm in any context connected with our work.

KICK recognises its responsibility to safeguard and protect children and young people across all of our programmes, activities and partnerships. This includes maintaining safe environments, responding appropriately to concerns, and working with relevant agencies and authorities where a young person may be in need of support or at risk of harm.

Our safeguarding practices are informed by national safeguarding legislation and guidance, including Keeping Children Safe in Education and other relevant statutory frameworks. All KICK staff members have an up to date enhanced DBS, Complete on induction an Advanced Safeguarding Children (Level 2) and have ongoing safeguarding training throughout an academic year.
